Zarra means a single speck, the smallest piece of something, and the stole is built from hundreds of them.

Tiny gold stones are set one by one into delicate lattice borders along the length and ends of a soft, brushed oat stole. Each one is small on its own. Together they shimmer like morning dew, quietly and only when the light finds them. Long fringed ends add an easy, graceful movement.

Styling

  • With deep red, wine or maroon: The oat tone softens a rich colour, and the gold stones pick up any zari trim.
  • With ivory, beige or cream: Wear it as one tonal look. The borders add the only shimmer.
  • With olive or bottle green: This is an earthy autumn pairing. Drape it loose with the borders falling at the front.
  • Everyday winter: Fold it lengthwise and loop it once over a plain kurta, a knit or a coat.

Care

Your Mehr stole is made to be loved for many winters. A little care keeps it soft and beautiful.

  • Dry clean only. This protects the fabric and any embroidery or embellishment.
  • Store folded, in a cotton or muslin cloth. Avoid plastic covers, and don't hang it for long periods, as it can stretch.
  • Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and damp places.
  • Wear gently. Avoid rough jewellery, zips or velcro that can snag the threads or sequins.
  • If it gets a little wet, pat it dry with a soft cloth and let it air-dry flat in shade. Never wring it or use a hairdryer.
  • Fringe: if a thread loosens, trim it carefully instead of pulling.
