Styling

  • With deep red or wine: Drape it loose over both shoulders so the gold knots fall at the front. Grey and red with gold trim is the most striking pairing.
  • With ivory or cream: Wear it as a long single drape, one end falling behind. This is the soft, quiet look for daytime and gifting.
  • With jewel tones (bottle green, navy, plum): Let the grey sit as a calm neutral and keep the jewellery minimal. The pearl centres already do that work.
  • Everyday winter: Fold it in half lengthwise and loop it once. It works with a plain kurta, jeans or a long coat.

Care

Your Mehr stole is made to be loved for many winters. A little care keeps it soft and beautiful.

  • Dry clean only. This protects the fabric and any embroidery or embellishment.
  • Store folded, in a cotton or muslin cloth. Avoid plastic covers, and don't hang it for long periods, as it can stretch.
  • Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and damp places.
  • Wear gently. Avoid rough jewellery, zips or velcro that can snag the threads or sequins.
  • If it gets a little wet, pat it dry with a soft cloth and let it air-dry flat in shade. Never wring it or use a hairdryer.
  • Fringe: if a thread loosens, trim it carefully instead of pulling.
