The Jashn Shawl is woven in a rhythmic, reversible herringbone, with gold zari threads that catch the light like sun on a field of wheat. A rose-pink/navy/beige/black body glows softly against a deep colour border, and a band of shimmering gold finishes the end.

Styling

Deep shades: Over black, cream or ivory for weddings and festive evenings. The gold border looks richest against dark colours.

Soft neutrals : Over whites, pastels and earthy tones for an elegant everyday look. They go with almost everything.

Reversible: Wear the matte side for daytime and the shimmer side for evenings.

Wear it: Draped open over both shoulders, so the gold border frames you from neck to hem.

Care

Your Mehr stole is made to be loved for many winters. A little care keeps it soft and beautiful.

  • Dry clean only. This protects the fabric and any embroidery or embellishment.
  • Store folded, in a cotton or muslin cloth. Avoid plastic covers, and don't hang it for long periods, as it can stretch.
  • Keep away from perfume, direct sunlight and damp places.
  • Wear gently. Avoid rough jewellery, zips or velcro that can snag the threads or sequins.
  • If it gets a little wet, pat it dry with a soft cloth and let it air-dry flat in shade. Never wring it or use a hairdryer.
  • Fringe: if a thread loosens, trim it carefully instead of pulling.
